Victor Sperandeo’s Precious Metals Plus Trading Program

Summary

Managed by legendary money manager, Victor Sperandeo, the Precious Metals Plus Trading Program (PM+), is a Managed Futures Strategy that trades exclusively in U.S. exchange traded metals.  As a discretionary program it utilizes a proprietary, transparent and “hands on” approach which the manager believes is essential for trading metals in volatile and uncertain markets.  The goal of this approach is to attempt to maximize participation in trending metals markets while seeking to reduce volaility, excessive trading and missed directional opportunities which may occur in more highly automated trading programs.  PM+ attempts to minimize drawdowns and maximize returns based on a variety of fundamental and technical factors.

About the Manager

Victor Sperandeo, who is also known as “Trader Vic”, is a professional money manager and trader with more than 45 years of experience. He is recognized for his futures market expertise and has authored three acclaimed books on trading.  Victor was profiled in Jack Schwager’s Market Wizards book as well as Alan Rubenfeld’s book, “Super Traders” and has been profiled in Barron’s twice.  Additionally, he was given the nickname “Trader Vic” by Barron’s for his call of the 1987 stock market crash.  In 2008, Mr. Sperandeo was inducted into the Trader Monthly Magazine “Hall of Fame” and  has been quoted in many leading publications with frequent appearances on CNBC, CNN, Fox and other business networks.  Victor serves as CEO and head trader for EAM, LP.

Why Precious Metals Plus

  • Metals, especially Gold, have historically shown to be an ‘insurance’ when added to a diversified portfolio, acting as a safe-haven asset in times of economic and geopolitical turmoil.
  • Gold & Silver are both represented by U.S. minted coins.  Often used as a hedge against inflation and devaluation of money.
  • Platinum, Palladium and Copper have heavier industrial applications than Gold and Silver and therefore are often more economically sensitive, potentially providing upside price movement as economies recover.
  • The inclusion of Copper into the portfolio mix allows for a greater sesitivity to macro global economic developments.
  • Rare access for retail investors to one of the most renowned trading managers in the world.
  • Offers potential diversification for traditional investment portfolios using a historically non-correlated asset class.
